   Proposal Description:
   Through exploration of the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center Uniform       Data Set, the intent of this research is to empirically understand if there is    a predictive relationship between the combination of (1) progressive dementia     subtypes (AD, LBD, VaD, FTLD), (2) participant's anxiety level, (3)               participant's cognitive impairment level, (4) caregiver's gender, (5)             caregiver's education level, and (6) caregiver's ethnicity/race, and              caregivers' differences on behavioral assessment (i.e., agitation, apathy,        irritability, and nighttime behaviors, respectively) of persons' with dementia    between the ages of 40 - 60 diagnosed with dementia at time of intake or within   5 years of initial visit.  Using a logistic regression analysis and based on      the research results, historical knowledge on predictive influences to behavior   assessment provides awareness and implications of potential areas for General     Psychology to provide enhancement of dementia care through awareness and          targeted caregiver support.
